ABOUT US
Chris Hagler MSOM, L.Ac.
As a child growing up in Alabama, Chris participated in Isshin-ryu and Taekwondo. His time spent learning these disciplines fueled his hunger to learn more about the East. A high school trip to China gave him a taste of the nation's culture and way of life.
With encouragement from his family, he enrolled in the Capstone College of Nursing at the University of Alabama. During the course of his junior year, one of his professors gave several examples of the healing powers of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine - something with which Chris was not then familiar. After further research, Chris knew that this was an avenue that he wanted to pursue professionally.
Upon graduation with his Bachelor of Arts, Chris furthered his studies at the Tennessee School of Therapeutic Massage. After obtaining his massage therapy certificate, he spent three years intensively studying acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado. Upon graduation and obtaining his license to practice acupuncture in the state of Tennessee, Chris and his wife returned to Knoxville where he began seeing patients at East Town Chiropractic Health and Wellness Center. Since then, he has treated hundreds of patients who experience a wide array of maladies and illnesses. Chris looks forward to continuing to grow his practice and bring health and healing to those whom he treats.
